Coming Soon, Finnshifters…

Posted in Releases

After doing the writing thing for a couple of years and having seen quite a few release dates and coming soon page appearances, I’m happy to report that it still makes me go “ooooh!” and smile widely when I see that email in my inbox that says my next release is now on the coming soon page.

This time it’s Finnshifters 3: Howl Sweet Howl, which is Sean and Rider’s story, but as always with this series, it’s a story of how life continues on the farm after The Storm. If you haven’t read this series yet, but are interested in taking a look at my shifters, please start with FS1: Chuffed. There’s a continuous plot underneath the love stories, and you’ll miss out if you don’t read the books in order.

To celebrate FS3 and Positive, I’m planning on a blog tour AND I have a Facebook chat coming up on the Dreamspinner Press’s FB page too, so keep your eyes open so you won’t miss it. ;)

Preorder Positive!

Posted in Releases

I got the email notification today, so I’m happy to announce that Positive is now on the Dreamspinner’s coming soon page. That means you can now preorder it!

I read the book through for the last time before the publishing yesterday, and I have to say I really like this book. Even if I say so myself, it’s a good book. Then again whenever I love one of my books, others don’t, so we shall see…

Despite the M/M/M tag on Dreamspinner’s website, there’s only one scene of M/M/M and the book is M/M with a longtime committed relationship in the center. So don’t let the M/M/M scare you! :)

Hope you all are having a nice summer so far!

News of all kinds!

Yes, I know…. I’ve been slacking with this blogging thing and I’m sorry. There are plenty¬† of news though, so let’s get started, eh? :)

  • My next novel, called Tainted, has a tentative release date of Aug/Sept 2013. It’s a contemporary romance, mystery/suspense with my kind of not-quite-typical aspects thrown in. And yes, I still write in my slightly quirky way. :) The publisher is Dreamspinner Press.
  • I’m getting a dog! This isn’t news, really. At least not news about my writing career, so… sorry if you dislike dogs. (You might be missing out, just saying….) Because in my country we’re in such a great situation that we don’t really have shelter dogs (at all, yes I know it’s hard to imagine if your country has overflow, but we’re lucky this way) and I’ve wanted to adopt for a long time, my girl Tara is flying in from Spain in mid-June. I’ll make a proper post about her at some point, promise!
  • I’m writing, at last, the third Finnshifters book! I know some people didn’t get the things that happened in book 2 and disliked it strongly, but it’s my universe and everything has a meaning. I don’t want to add spoilers here, but let’s just say that the major plot point was going to happen even before there were any plans on there being more books than one! So yes, it’s not a plot element added for shock value. Trust me on this. I don’t throw intentional cheap punches.
  • I’m taking part in Hop Against Homophobia and Transphobia this month! I’ll be doing a giveaway or a few, so stay tuned! :)
  • Oh and yes, Finnshifters 3? If nothing surprising happens and I keep my submission deadline and all that, it should be out in November this year. So not too long for that either. :)
  • M/M Romance group on Goodreads has another lovely event going on again this summer. I’ve written a little story for the event and it will be out at some point…. no idea when but when I know, I’ll let you know!

Falling into Place Releas…

Posted in Releases

So today’s the day. Finally my third novel Falling into Place is out!

Today also marks the end of NaNoWriMo which I failed spectacularly, but I don’t care, much. At least I wrote something! I have plenty of stuff to work on if/when I have the energy and the muses to do so.

There’s also a chance for you to win a signed paperback (and possibly an eBook) at Piper and MJ’s blog! So click here and go comment on the post!

I’m excited to hear what you think about the book, so please send me an email or something once you’ve read it. Or just go and review or rate it on Goodreads, Amazon and the like!

FIP, NaNoWriMo, winter an…

Hello, lovelies!

Since it is November now, NaNoWriMo is on full swing. It’s day 2 and I have a little over 7k words on my document! Yay for that! I’ve also ordered myself the NaNoWriMo hoodie I’ve been drooling at for two years now… Finally! (It’s all about the little things, trust me on this… ;) )

Falling Into Place is now on Dreamspinner’s Coming Soon page. The release date is November 30th, so you can reward yourself with it once all the work is done. Or something. I don’t really need excuses to buy and read books…. *cough*

Winter! It’s coming. Too fast to my liking! Only early November and we have snow. Several inches of it. Now, that might be fine in general, I’m a Finn, we’re used to snow, but if this doesn’t melt soon, I might go crazy! I hate this sloshy wet part of late autumn/early winter. I don’t want to go outside to slip and slide around the yard! Nevermind going for a walk…. *grumbles* Realistically I know the snow won’t stick yet, but I can’t wait for the mess it makes our yard to clear a little.

On other news, I did go to keep my dad company the other day while he was “rabbit hunting”. I’m using the term “hunting” loosely here, he prefers to sit and listen to the dog bark while running after the rabbits instead of shooting the critters. Oh he does shoot one or two every fall, but that’s kind of minor compared to most who hunt rabbits. And yes, rabbit hunting is a popular thing here in Finland, in case you were wondering. We even have our own hound dog breed here for it.

Anyway, I was with dad and the dog out there and I went on a long walk, ending up at someone’s property (summer cabin, and the someone is a person my dad knows, so it was fine, heh) and since it was on a lakeshore, I went to their little dock to listen to the ice. See, when the lake starts to freeze, the shores are the first to go, obviously, and with how the weather was, there were bits of broken off ice clinking together with the frozen solid part of the shoreline. It was such a pretty sound! Ice music, my mom called it. That’s where the photograph is from in this post. I hope I could add the sound to it!

Contest, I believe I mentioned a contest…. Oh yes! Since FIP is coming out soon, I was thinking about holding a contest! Problem is, I’m not quite sure what kind… Any suggestions?

Hope you enjoy it!

Release day and new websi…

Today is the release day for Finnshifters 2: Tiglon By The Tail. I’m so happy! This gives me a boost to write the third book for sure. I hope you all will like it, and yes, there might be a giveaway coming at some point for the book…. Just follow me on social media and you can’t miss it. ;)

Other thing: NEW WEBSITE, YAY! Okay, now that that’s out of my system, a MASSIVE thanks to AngstyG for my gorgeous website. Couldn’t be happier! :)

Third thing, before I forget: I was realizing the other day that based on talking to some of my readers, not all people leave reviews. Now, this is okay, but whether you like books or not, it’s always a good thing to leave a review on either Amazon or Goodreads (or wherever you bought the book from) or even email the author if you want! I, for one, love to hear from my readers. It’s the greatest thanks any author can get to have honest, polite, feedback.

That’s about it for now, really.

Finnshifters - Chuffed an…

Hello again!

I’ve gotten a few questions about when the next part of Finnshifters will be out, since you guys seem to be loving the universe that starts with Chuffed. :)

Part two, tentatively called Moving On, has “September” as the release “date”. This is based on my contract, and in my experience, the tentative dates in my contracts are pretty solid. So, Finnshifters 2 will probably be out in September. A few months! Not that bad, right?

And because I get asked a lot… yes, the next part will be Noah’s book. ;)

Upcoming release and the …

Hello, everyone. It’s now early March, and I’m looking at the release schedule I have and the personal deadlines that are looming and I thought I’d give you an update.

My next release will be out on March 28th. It’s called Something New, and I really do love this story. I hope you’ll like it too. In some ways, Something New manages to catch many things about my personal writing style and my “secret agenda” in my writing. That’s why I’m so happy with it, really. Oh and the cover by Catt Ford is really lovely too.

After Something New, the next one in my preliminary list of things to come is a little story called Thank My Lucky Scars. It’s also a novella and revolves around a London bike-messenger and an American porn star. It’s a fun little story, so I’m looking forward to it as well. Tentative release is April-May.

Now, the book after the two aforementioned is called Chuffed. It’s a shifter-book, the first book in a several books-series I’ve titled Finnshifters. The story arc revolves around a sort of “shifter sanctuary” in Eastern Finland near the Russian border, and the shifters who live on the little farm. There’s always at least one main couple, and while the books are M/M romance, the stories are as much about the whole “farm family” as they are any given main couple.

Chuffed should be out in May-June, and I have a submission deadline in about a week for book 2 which doesn’t have a title yet. While the book is already almost done, I’m still feeling slight pressure from the deadline I’ve set myself (so that you guys would have the next part to read in a few months time from the release of the first book, see, I’m thinking about you here!)

My next novel-length story is a vampire-story I’ve felt like writing for a long time. It’s called Technically Dead and it’s going to be released in July-August. I’ll tell you more about it later.

Once I have Finnshifters 2 written and sent, I need to figure out what to write next. I feel like writing a few separate stories but I also know I need to concentrate on one. So I’ll figure that out soon, since after all I should be done with the current story in a week. Ugh. Well, here’s to making my deadline and for a nice springtime for everyone!
